The BauerHotel is located in the heart of Venice, two minutes walking distance from St Mark's Square. The closest point to the BauerHotel that is reachable by car (and the only place in Venice where you can drive) is Piazzale Roma. Its priviledged location sits within a few hundred metres from landmarks such as Doges Palace, La Fenice Theatre, the Guggenheim Museum, the Rialto Bridge, St Giorgio's Bell Tower, to name only a few. Additionally, the Concierge can organise private water transfers with a hostess.

From Piazzale Roma (car parking garage) or Santa Lucia railway station to the hotel:
•Public boat (1 or 82) to the San Marco stop: about 40 minutes by line 1 and 25 minutes by line 82. From the San Marco/Vallaresso stop to the hotel, guests have to walk (less than five minutes) straight on to the end of Calle Vallaresso then turn left into Campo San Moisè
•Water taxi: about 15 to 20 minutes directly to the dock
From Santa Lucia railway station to the hotel:
•Water taxis are available from the waterfront immediately outside the railway station directly to the dock: about 15 minutes
•Take vaporetto line 1 to San Marco Vallaresso: about 45 minutes, or line 82
From Venice Marco Polo Airport:
•Water taxi directly to the dock: about 40 minutes
•From the Airport water dock you can take the official transportation boat, Alilaguna, to San Marco: about 1 hour 15 minutes
